At our headquarters in Urdorf (Zurich), Switzerland, our engineers innovate next-generation technologies that change how biopharma digitizes and automates bioprocess development. We aim to maintain this leading position and stand out significantly from all other bioprocess software applications and automated sampling systems. The development of automated systems involves numerous assembly, installation, and commissioning tasks. In order to make this development process as efficient as possible, close cooperation between the Automation Technician and the Mechanical Engineers is crucial. The Automation Technician takes on a variety of tasks intending to drive the development project forward efficiently and provide the best possible support to the Mechanical Engineers.

YOUR PROFILE
Among your responsibilities, you will:

  • Basic training as an automation technician, electronics technician, or mechatronics technician.
  • Proven experience in assembling, maintaining, and repairing automated systems and machines.
  • Knowledge of programming control and regulation systems (e.g. PLC programming).
  • Familiarity with electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic components as well as industrial sensors and actuators.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and documentation.
  • Assembly, installation, and commissioning of machines and systems in accordance with technical specifications and plans.
  • Active participation in the function and the team to achieve the corporate goals.
  • Identifying and fixing system malfunctions through analysis of technical documentation, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Implementing suggestions for improvement to optimize system efficiency, performance, and safety.
  • Documenting repairs and modifications to the systems under the applicable guidelines and regulations.
  • Collaboration in development projects to design and implement new automated systems and processes.
  • Designing electrical diagrams for circuits and control systems, ensuring compliance with current standards and regulations.
  • Creating simple drawings of components and assemblies on CAD.
  • Collaborate with other specialists and departments to ensure smooth processes with effective exchange of information.
