The successful candidate will be responsible for the execution of standardized client service activities, and opportunistically support various R&D projects, using InSphero’s innovative 3D cell-based technology platforms.
The ideal candidate is experienced in mammalian cell culture and bioanalytical methods. The position offers an opportunity to work in a young, dynamic and friendly environment, and to contribute to the in vitro safety assessment process of novel drug candidates.
Starting date: upon agreement. Place of work: Schlieren, Switzerland.
Main responsibilities:
• Perform general laboratory work, with a focus on aseptic cell culture, imaging and biochemical assay, according to standard operating procedures defined by InSphero
• Modification and creation of new process-related documents (e.g. SOP)
• General laboratory maintenance (e.g. laboratory cleaning & inventory, equipment monitoring, preparation of reagent aliquots)
• Flexibly support the different groups of InSphero
Profile:
• Biological laboratory technician degree (preferred) or BSc in Cell Biology or Biotechnology
• Experienced in mammalian cell culture work, biochemical/cellular assays and the use of technical equipment (e.g. microplate reader, ELISA, microscopy…)
• Resilient personality, able to work precisely and consistently to produce client-facing data.
• Ability to work in regulated and aseptic conditions according to precisely defined standard operating procedures
• Experience with Microsoft Office Applications
• Good command of English
• 2-3 years of professional laboratory work experience is a plus
